Howdee everyone,
Here is a quick legislative schedule update in advance of the regular weekly legislative updates.
The huge lead law bill we have been talking about is now upon us and scheduled for 1st public hearing. After meeting with many landlords, many discussions, much analysis, it is obvious that the bill is weighted extremely against landlords.
What was talked about as benefits of the bill are either
already available in current law or
likely not to happen or
an extremely small benefit.
Meanwhile the negatives of the bill are very hurtful to landlords.
Our position is therefore to kill the entire bill.
The commission has a total of over 3 years to take in landlord input and to come up with something infinitely better. So why rush into something bad.

Then
contact the Senate Health and Human Services committee and express your opposition to the bill;
show up at the hearing on Tuesday 1pm;
And very important that you set aside time now
attend the meeting and
