Check out the opportunity below for a free workshop on "Motivational Interviewing ".
I took one of these last year and found it useful. Loosely speaking, the subject is about how to communicate with some one in a way that will motivate them to do something you want or need them to do. (Ever been in that situation?)
Its free so why not attend. I plan to be there because good communication skills are so critical to every thing in life.
Love & Light,
What You Say AND How You Say It Matters

Basic techniques of MI will be explored with some practical demonstration. This workshop is hosted by the Manchester Health Department.
Workshop content will include:
• Understanding the readiness to consider change
• Exploring active listening and its impact
• Learning the basic principles of Motivational Interviewing
• Sharing information
• Practicing the use of reflective listening skills and other micro-skills
• Enhancing your communication skills
This course is suitable for all levels of public health staff, health agency workers, and
other professionals who interact with clients on a regular basis to facilitate behavior
